## Welcome to the Taxwire, let's make Cents of Sales Tax

With Taxwire's API, you can calculate tax rates and record transactions for your sales around the world. We solve sales tax compliance for companies like Pulley, Pirate Wires, Modretro, Italic, and more.

#### Before the sale

When you provide relevant locations and [product information](/api-reference/guides/tax_attributes) for a sale, we'll return the accurate tax amount you should charge.

Our engine is built to handle the complexities of sales tax across the United States and around the world. With Geocoding, we can provide rooftop accurate rates for any location in the country.

No matter how complex the scenario, from a simple single item sale to a complex bundled multi-category, multi-state sale, Taxwire can handle it.
